just 1 problem that i noticed while sceaming through the article...
in ketogenic diets (low carb diets, where no glucose is avalible for glycolosis) the body will turn to fats before protein (amino acids) as a source of energy. what happens is when beta-oxidation outstrips carb breakdown ketone bodies are produced by the liver. the excess acetyl CoA is converted to the ketone bodies.while our body goes though fasting or what ever (no carbs) the liver will make glucose untill it is depleted of oxaloacetate which will cause a decrease in the TCA cycle and thus an increase in the acetyl CoA that comes from the fatty acid beta-oxidation, this will cause the pruduction of the KBs
