Yes if you dont eat any source of carbs,your insulin levels are normal,between 70-90 in your blood work.the best time for carbs is complex carbs in the morning such as oatmeal and during the day like brown rice and sweet potatos to keep a steady low glycemic rise for proper energy usage and minimal fat storage.
post workout i would do simple carbs such as waxymaize or malto dextrin,fruits are NOT the best because fructose have been proven to be stored as glycogen in the liver than more in the muscles.
